How do you think this poster for Statham got approved? Was it a joke that went too far? Is it supposed to trigger fans of Die Hard? Or is Hollywood literally out of ideas?
>>
>>222798676
Who watches these Statham movies?
>>
It's an obvious parody, so Mutiny is one of Statham's "silly" movies he does sometimes like Crank or whatnot.

I agree with you OP. Mutiny's "homage" to Die Hard lacks any form of integrity. It feels cheap. Copypaste a la pajeet. There's not a single artistic layer, thought, concept to it. At the very least they could've chosen differen color of Mutiny, or tilted the ship, or mirrored the poster. Just to make it slightly different. But no, they chose the AI nobrain route of direct plagiarism, using "parody" as a defense-mechanism against anyone calling our their lack of effort. Lazy..
>>
>>222798691
Nobody makes modern action films nowadays except Statham
>>
>>222798676
Statham movies are for retarded people, and they did the die hard thing because it worked for die hard

ITT: OP discovers 'parody'.

(Sonic 3 did the whole Deadpool gimmick too.)

Mutiny was kinda garbage. Usually I enjoy Statham flicks well enough but this was just too lazy and generic and lacked interesting action.

This is not the greatest movie in the world, no.
This is just a tribute.
Couldn't remember the greatest movie in the world, no.
This is a tribute, oh, to the greatest movie in the world, alright!
It was the greatest movie in the world, alright!
It was the best motherfucking movie , the greatest movie in the world. Alright!

But to me there's a difference between a copy, parody and a homage. A copy basically tries to imitate the original to gain status, the parody pokes fun while the homage tries emphasize the greatness and influence of the original.

Mutiny does nothing else but copies and imitates. There's not much thought to it. Even plump fiction makes some effort in its wordplay (and that poster isn't good).
>20 knots of sheer adventure
I really don't get what they're going with this.
>snuck aboard
that reveals intent, not an accident he was there
>he's about to turn the tide
no character building, implying he's alone, tired.

the explosion is shitty, I bet the ship doesn't explode like that in the movie, the title Mutiny is unbolded. fatten it up to fill out the empty space...

>20 knots of sheer adventure

Because the DH poster says 40 stories of sheer adventure..how don't you understand this?

>snuck aboard
that reveals intent, not an accident he was there

Okay? Mutiny isn't trying to be a carbon copy of DH, clearly an inspiration.

>he's about to turn the tide
no character building, implying he's alone, tired.

And? I don't even get what YOU'RE trying to say, you're saying a lot without saying anything at all. The "turn the tide" is just a fuckin corny pun. Clearly it's just for fun.

>the title Mutiny is unbolded. fatten it up to fill out the empty space...
If that were the case it would be flattened and stretched out like DH's poster. You fucking retard.
>>
>>222803701
Annabelle Wallis doesn't get nekkid, again. Everyone's tired of her shiz.
>>
>>222805937
Wow, you seem annoyed, did you make the poster perhaps????
>Because the DH poster says 40 stories of sheer adventure..how don't you understand this?
Stories aren't the same as knots.... I can imagine a storey being an adventure but a knot?

>Okay? Mutiny isn't trying to be a carbon copy of DH, clearly an inspiration.
Inspiration suggests a creative aspect. There's no creative aspect in the poster at all. You've taken the quickest route. Picked out a classic poster and photoshopped your own shit into it. Why can't you admit its lazy and shitty?

>And?
It's boring, unimaginative, precisely what "YOU'RE" response is. Its void of fun. The main reason it'd be fun was if you never heard of it but those lines have been used so many times before. It'd be alright if it was a parody but Mutiny isn't even marked as a comedy.

>If that were the case it would be flattened and stretched out like DH's poster.
Ah, I shall make it a habit to read the full post before I decide to type an answer. The misquoted greentext fooled me. All I can say is I admit defeat, good trolling!
>You fucking retard.
I'm glad we're of the same opinion. Die Hard means a lot to me and I hate seeing capitalistic leeches trying to suck out the blood from it.
