>self-identified "huge star trek fans">been talking about their supposed love of star trek for over 10 years>own several star trek memorabilia such as set-used costumes and parts of the set itself>make a career out of complaining about new star trek and how old star trek was way better>only seen voyager and deep space 9 like once 30 years ago>they watch season 1 then give up despite being literally paid to do it I'm not some parasocial schizo who cares that their 50 year old stand ins for a friend group don't like the tv show they like, or at least I hope I'm not, but this seems like a really bizzare situation to me. It's like if I walked up to one of those disney adults and asked what their favourite disney movie is and they said something like "uhhh, i saw snow white like 30 years ago and uhhh i thought beuty and the beast was neat i guess". It honestly looks like a mild equivalent of what they themselves parodied with "nerd crew", where the idea of being a "fan" is more important than actually enjoying yourself with the media.I'm rewatching voyager right now and I'm having a gay time, I'm on season 4 and i suddenly remembered these guys were supposed to be watching it too and apparently what I did in a month (while having a real job) is going to take them several years despite, i repeat, being paid to watch this stuff. Are they really really busy behind the scenes or do they only like TNG and TOS specifically because they saw it when they were 8 and that's their only basis for saying nutrek sucks? I don't think I've ever seen them even mention Enterprise, do they even know it came out?
>I'm not some parasocial schizo>he lied lazily the cheeto dust thick on his meaty fingers the stench of stale mountain dew filling the basement
>>222800224You weirdos that police the content YouTubers are and aren't putting out are the most parasocial. Having a standee of Rich Evans that's covered in lipstick kisses would be less so.
>>222800271>>222800308TPBP
>i need to know what they think about ALL the episodes NOW NOW NOW>im not parasocial btw
>>222800271>>222800308I just like star trek and I enjoy hearing people discuss it. I don't care much if they make more of these, just seems weird that in the videos where they do talk about it it's clear they haven't seen these shows in literal decades yet they say they're huge fans.>>222800379I'm not in a rush I'm just honestly wondering what's taking so long. You don't need to be hyped for a movie to wonder why the production takes 12 years
>>222800224Do you really need Mike to come right out and say "These videos are designed to give someone a taster of this television show, we will not be doing all seven seasons as that would of course be a massive allocation of our time and resources, only a complete retard would of course would think that we would do that but I just want to be clear about that at the outset" Can't you just think for a couple seconds?

The part that puzzles me is how they haven't seen voyager and ds9 in literal decades despite being self proclaimed huge fans. Again, it's like if one of those disney adults hasn't seen a disney movie since 1990
>>222800578That's so not an unusual thing. You're just low functioning, pal.
>>222800452but that doesn't make sense since season 1 in both shows is substanctially different from the restin the case of voyager they don't even introduce some of the cast this way
