The characters, acting and story are paper thin but thats not why you watch legend.
In terms of visuals and music (only the tangerine dreams soundtrack) its a masterpiece.
You basically watch it for the audiovisual masterpiece it its.
Watching legend with the tangerine dreams soundtrack gives dreamlike hypnotic ethereal feel that no other movie has. You are basically in a trance and if you are high or drunk even more so.
