I'm old enough to remember how this scene blew everyone's minds when they first saw it in theaters. I mean sure, people have known about the T-Rex for decades but this is the first time you're seeing it rendered like this. Previously it's all puppets and claymation, you could always tell it was a miniature. But then Jurassic Park comes along.

>Its footsteps could be heard through the rain, shaking the water in the glass
>It rears its head and a full-size animatronic head swallows a goat whole
>The high tension cables snap like they're nothing
>The T-Rex comes out and it dwarfs the two cars
>It's bigger than an elephant yet walks on two feet, its jaws are filled with teeth the size of bananas
>It roars and it sounds like a fucking freight train

Fuck man, I missed it when movies were good

movies will become like books. classics that will be revisited for hundreds of years. hard to imagine being replicated in the modern era.

while modern ones are just disposable slop. you'll never see them revisited.
