>>
Endless Love 1981

Context: So i was helping my brother with some physical labour, in exchange he gave me a quarter of a box cake (chocolate) that was made with weed butter.
I'd never eaten edibles before and had this movie on a HDD as part of a spree of downloading 80's/90's teen movies, St Elmo's Fire, WarGames, Breakfast Club etc.
So i ate the cake, waited until i started to feel it and pressed play.

Holy fucking shit, i had no idea at the time but the movie is essentially 3 little movies inside of 1. So by the time the first movie (act) started to finish i was completely blown away, while under the effects of dilated time from the cake, it had genuinely felt like i had just sat through an entire movie in 15-20 minutes and this was the climax. Mind you this is after watching a party where the parents (one who was a doctor) were smoking weed in this house party with their childrens' friends and hooking up with the same friends. Like a hippy love-in.
Then movie 2 (act) started playing and i couldn't believe what was happening, the movie goes completely off the rails with intentional arson, crazy nonsensicle behaviours from the protag, Tom Cruise appears - i was completely fucking gone.
Movie 3 starts playing, again, a massive surprise to me after movie 2 finished in an insane asylum - but we're powering through now. There's a murder, the mother is trying to fuck the son whose her daughter's lover, they kinda get together in the end but not really.

It's probably just a normal movie, but my complete fever dream interpretation from being off my face is fun, so i'll stick to it.
>>
>>222811653
Dude is the definition of morally gray. Like is he completely insane? Yes, obviously. But is he also in the right? I honestly think so.

I like when his local cops (because the cops all know him by name) say "dude if you're gonna go, PLEASE PLEASE don't drive your crazymobile, take the train". HARD CUT to him driving the crazymobile with a megaphone blasting.

Amusement. It's a really shitty horror movie, the whole thing makes no fucking sense at all but the peak of it is that the victim girl ends up in a padded room being interviewed by a therapist, but then it's revealed this was a trick by the psycho. He'd lied to the therapist while impersonating a cop and brought her down to see the victim just to help trick her into thinking she was safe for a bit, then he killed the therapist after she left the fake room to fuck with said victim.
The problem is that when the victims starts to realize this is a fake room and leaves you see where they are, which is somewhere the therapist went willingly, meaning she would've had to:
>Drive out who knows how long into the middle of fucking nowhere.
>Enter a creepy old disused cabin.
>Either go down a massive ladder or an old ass elevator into a huge concrete complex underground.
>Somehow not see the other girls being held there or any of the other creepy shit lying around.

A fucked up time in Indonesia’s history. I was traveling around the country and took a ferry from Bali to Java, going to Surabaya. Met a Chinese-Indonesian guy and he invited me to his house for dinner and to stay. Lived in one of those walled compound sort of houses where the center is completely open with his extended family. Told me all sorts of tales about that time period and how many of his family and people they knew were slaughtered because they were accused of being communist since they had Chinese heritage. Wild shit.

Within the first minute of the film he's having sex with his Mum, so it's off to a good start. Trapped in a room that his Mum won't let him leave because she's trained into thinking you need a gas mask if you go outside. Eventually kills his Mum, leaves and becomes a serial killing rock star. Plenty of dead cats and some of the best movie quotes ever. Plus it's filmed where I was born and my tax paying dollars helped fund this. My work mate who recommended me this film said the first time he watched it he was on acid and he couldn't work out if the acid was really good or the movie was really fucked up. It was the movie.

incomprehensible slideshow narrated by the director about psychic bees turning people into literal missiles to get fired from tanks or something, I absolutely have no clue. also the first movie ever released on the internet, in 1991.

Six hour long adaptation of a Norman Mailer novel about Egyptian gods by the director of Cremaster except the main character is a car. Contains actual sex & pooping. It's also an opera. Stars Paul Giamatti and Bobbi Star. One of the ten best movies I've ever seen.
>>
>>222819667
Exhausting experimental fag film where the director plays like ten characters. I think it's about an orphan who gets hired to replace someone's teen daughter. The dialogue is complex and endless, it's kind of like a feature film zero budget version of Xavier Renegade Angel.

Oh yeah, it's called I-Be Area

Damon Packard's most famous movie. He plays a food addict trying to sell people headphones and watches on the streets of Hollywood. He's also looking for his missing drug addict sister who seems to be in a ghost dimension. The finale is shot at The ET Ride at Universal Studios and got him banned from there for life. Also famous because he sent unsolicited DVD copies of the finished film to absolutely everybody in the movie industry, which baffled everyone.

Alright, I think that's enough. These are some of the best of the best.

One more because this is one of my favorite movies and I've seen it at least 20 times. Movie starring a bunch of girls from Morning Musume that feels like a deranged children's show. It's basically a gender-swapped The Prince and the Pauper, but the girls' fathers are mannequins, their mothers are played by the same woman, their dog is a guy in a costume and their maids are drag queens. There are also white guys painted blue playing aliens, duck hand puppets, yakuza who arbitrarily are forced to do stand-up comedy by a randomly appearing microphone, and the whole thing's a musical, of course. Not easy to find.

A whole movie whose only concern is retcon and deny anything set by the previous one. And from the very first seconds too. Simply fascinating, should be a case study.

Kino doc, but it's very biased in how it presented its subject. At no point whatsoever was the motivation for why they did what they did ever brought up. The Great Leap Forward recently happening next door to them is quite a large issue to ignore. The Indonesians were fully justified in their action against communists. Pol Pot would soon after prove them correct again too. Total commie death is a pro-human stance.

why would motivation be brought up?
