There’s no way all Tony did with the Infinity Stones was “go away Thanos”I think that’ll factor into Doomsday or Secret Wars. I’m not certain how, but I think that’ll be a big reason, or potentially *the* reason that RDJ is playing Doom.Think about it, of the three people we saw use the stones, none of them are stupid. Thanos, had one clear goal. His told us what the snap would be, and it was.Bruce Banner is also a brilliant mind but he doesn’t think like Tony Stark. He also had to be extremely careful as he was snapping for everyone who was lost, to return, and nothing else to change. People were counting on him to do *exactly that*.But Tony Stark? This is not only a wildly intelligent guy, but time and time again we see him thinking on the fly, planning ahead, having several contingency plans, going out of his way to protect the world in ways he didn’t even need to yet, as a preemptive measure.So I have a hard time believing that when he snapped, he just willed away all of Thanos’ forces, I think he definitely would have tried to will into existence a way he didn’t die, or a way that the Earth would be protected in the event of his death. This is a genius with an object that can do anything.Maybe he achieved that and Doom is somehow born from that. Again, I don’t know how because we really don’t know anything about Doom, his motives and where he comes from, why he looks like Tony Stark. There are too many questions to theorise exactly why this would be, but I believe he did something else with the infinity stones.

WHen they announced Tony as Doom, I balked at first (And now) but I also considered the "One in 317587358635816358 chances to end it" Strange saw. When Tony donned the complete gauntlet, as we asw, he was barely able to stay alive to complete the snap, but he did, but it was his end, or was it? Maybe included in the snap was...something he thought up, a way out, I don't know what but something. That something shifted him into the 'Doom' persona, maybe because he understood something from the power being almost omnipotent with all the stones. But he was horribly scarred and that fits Doom's origin, in a way. Maybe something the gauntlet could not undo, since it caused t directly. Again, just random thoughts but I did feel like maybe there was something more epic to choosing him as Doom.
