Am I the only kid who thought that these two actually did live in the same cinematic universe? Obviously I wasn't using the term back then but I really thought that these two lived in the same world along with Ghost Rider and the Fantastic Four.
dr strange exists in peter's universe
>>222813180Daredevil and the X-Men too.
>>222813215So is The Punisher. They had Tom Jane's stunt double cameo.
>>222813232QRD? Jameson says that Doctor Strange would be a good name for Ock, "but it's taken," and >>222813251 he's the Frank cameo, but how do they reference X-Men and Daredevil?
>>222813180when i was a kid, I used to wonder why Spider-Man wasn't a member of the Superfriends.
>>222813232Yeah, I guess it was just so feasible that they lived on the same Earth that I always imagined them teaming up as a kid. That and I think the PS2 tie in games implied it too.
>>222813180I actually find it hard to believe that Raimi's spider-man could exist in self-contained world with no other heroes in it. Imagine if in the real world someone with Spider-man's power just started fighting crime around new york city, the whole world would come to a standstill and cults would form around him, but the movies just treat him like a local legend. If there was a handful of other high profile heroes, raimi's spider-man would make more sense from a world building perspective
>>222813180No, I just assumed it since they’re all in the same world in the comics.
>>222813251>>222813269I don't count that as a Punisher cameo, same actor/stunt double or not. Guy looking mean and wearing a black jacket does not count. Easter egg AT BEST and that's already a stretch. As for an X-Men reference, I don't remember one in the Raimi movies. Unless we're counting "this background extra was actually Mystique" as a cameo now.
>>222813303As a kid I always thought he could naturally shoot web. When returning to the cartoon, I was like wait what that's stupid.
>>222813956So what's the Daredevil connection? Cause Joe Pantoliano didn't even work at the Daily Bugle.
>>222813180I have a really early memory of a family member fucking with me by saying hulk and spiderman were brothers and I believed it up until I was probably 8 when a friend at school asked me wtf I was talking about.
>>222813956How is it a stretch to even call it an Easter Egg. They wanted that specific stunt double there, and put him in a black jacket. They obviously did that for a reason.
>>222813995I'm not the one claiming there was. The only other reference I picked up was Brock trying to get pictures of Spider-Man all week.>>222814023Very low standard. If they wanted it to actually count, he should also had the skull shirt on. It's the same level as Raimi's brother bring the dork at the Bugle.
>>222813180there actually was a plan to include wolverine's mask on spiderman 1 as a easteregg but they couldn't find the costume during filming
>>222813998What a retard
>>222814091>The only other reference I picked up was Brock trying to get pictures of Spider-Man all week.So that's a reference to Spider-Man?
>>222813180No Way Home had the chance to retcon the Marvel Universe into those movies and they didn't which pissed me off actuallyThis is why Deadpool and Wolverine is the superior nostalgia multiverse movie, it actually manages to use the Marvel Universe to it's full potential with returning characters, actors and comic book lore
Do you guys ever think about hulk just raping spiderman? I mean real brutal pounding that only someone with super durability can handle. Like 200mph rutting with the hulk absolutely gaping poor Parker. In public too of course.
>>222813545Agreed
I knew they were owned by separate companies and they would never crossover. I was old enough to know the business and story separation of Hulk and Spider-man, but... in my heart... I wanted them in the same universe. Maybe Daredevil.Though the X-men films were too different and separate.
>>222814336That would give Spiderman cancer
>>222814336>>222816753>spidermanFucking casuals.
