Mad Max vs Planet of the Apes. In it you could have the collapse have been brought about by the Simian Flu and Australia being able to lockdown fast enough that the humans were able to survive. Explain that briefly then jump into an ape invasion and the humans fighting back in various over the top cool stunt ways.
