The story is complete, there is no book to base Season 2 on and Season 1 went out of it's way to confirm that anything happening after is basically just a formality for Toranaga. I suppose they can show the Tokugawa becoming more hostile to foreigners and eventually kicking them all out but from S1 we already know Blackthorne dies before that happens just like historical William Adams.
