The Faculty.
>>
Clea DuVall is a sexy lesbian.
>>
>>222820791
Hartnett in this movie is peak masculinity. I admired him a lot as a kid, especially the paper cutter scene
>>
>>222820791
this movie is so comfy, it reminds me of my early teens when i had no responsibilities, the future held promise and my country was still racially homogenous. scream 1 has the same effect, but for my earlier childhood

She would've been fantastic on something like ATK Girlfriends or ATK Hairy or even FTV Girls.
>>222820833
Hartnett is someone I would've liked to see have a better career. Hope he finds his footing in Hollywood again.
>>222820791
I have some fond memories of watching this movie. Also Famke Janssen, even with that fucked up haircut, is top tier.
>>
>>222820791
>replaces the blonde girl the thing on the poster with usher, who has 5 minutes combined screentime
always made me irrationally angry he's not even part of the friend group just some asshole they run into a couple times. I get it, but it's like putting sonic the hedgehog on the corner of the poster, incredibly dated
>>
>>222820855
He said Hollywood was full of demons and went to raise a family far away from it iirc. Trying to make a resurgence thoughever
>>
>>222820791
One of my favorite movies of all time. Crazy how all star of a cast it is with it's tiny budget. This is the type of shit we're missing with streaming.
>>
>>222820833
He's a scumbag drug dealer. Peak masculinity is having strength and conviction that inspires followers.
>>
>>222820900
He never really left, he just did smaller projects probably after making a comfortable amount of money. There's only 3 years in his 28 year film history with nothing put out.
>>
>>222820924
If you get to clutch pearls about retarded bullshit then I get to point out he technically wasn't making drugs, there's a whole scene explaining this. Better to just be American in the first place and know chads like this were everywhere in the 90s-2000s, when there are thousands it's not their fault society handed out opiates like candy at the time.
>>
>>222820900
He never left, and just did Oppenheimer lol.

>>222820924
>scumbag drug dealer
What makes him a scumbag?
> Peak masculinity is having strength and conviction that inspires followers.
definitely everyone didn't follow him and he definitely didn't lead the counter resistance to the aliens.

>>222820979
Yeah my highschool had someone like this and the kids were better off with him selling vs the alternative. In fact, once he stopped dealing and controlling everything is when kids died. Inb4 someone says something retarded like "but hes why it happened blah blah" No, kids are gonna do stupid shit like drugs and get fucked up with or without easy access.
>>
>>222820938
for a few years there he was primed to be the next big thing, then he turned down nolan's batman and faded from the spotlight
>>
>>222820879
Putting the killer of a whodoneit on the poster is retarded.
Putting Usher makes sense because it probably raised the profile of the movie
>>
>>222820791
>this was a "shitty" teen horror film in the 90's
damn..
>>
>>222820979
>>222820999
Why are you so desperately white knighting for high school drug dealers? It's weird af, like you still haven't grown up
>>
>>222821008
the fact that shes NOT on the poster makes it more suspect dont you think?
>>
>>222821037
both of us think we're being pretty reasonable and explicitly talking about childhood experiences that really happened. You're just some kind of crazy retard it seems.
>>
>>222821006
I would say he was bigger because he turned down the super hero roles. Plus next big thing kind of implies he wasn't already big. He had already done pearl harbor and honestly I'm glad he turned down superman and batman roles because I love 40 days and 40 nights, wicker park, lucky number slevin, etc. It's not like he turned down comic book things either we still got him in sin city and 30 days of night. I kind of just wished he worked harder more than anything, he really just turned into a like one film a year actor vs the people we perceive as big names who have like 3 movies in one year because they work nonstop.
>>
>>222821037
I'm not white knighting anything, I'm explaining reasonable situations from my past experiences. If you were actually grown up you'd know that drugs should be freely available to everyone and anyone and you'd see a lot of the issues with them go away. Personally anyone who's doing drugs like that is usually just seeking attention or escaping some non complicated drama they're overreacting to. Mind you, the "hardest" drug I've ever done was 10mg edibles once they became legal in my state when I was like 35 lol
>>
>>222821024
the best example of this is reign of fire. a mid-level blockbuster with great CGI dragons and real sets, starring christian bale, mcconnaughey and gerard butler and nobody gave a shit and it barely made its own budget back. we didnt know what we had
>>
>>222820852
I didn't like this era of film at the time because everything always just felt like "Dawson's Creek: The Movie", but I've eased up in on my stance in later years due mostly for the same reasons mentioned
>>
>>222820833
>Movie ends with him hooking up with his teacher
>this is presented as a happy ending
It was a different time.
>>
>>222821173
yeah i noticed you keep seeing contrarian takes like "ummm actually jurassic park 3 was a masterpiece" all over. movies that were constantly shit on and universally panned now seen as passable because the bar is that fucking low now
>>
>>222821052
>>222821108
>Whiteknighting and same fagging in the same breath
Faggot tourist go back
>>
>>222820855
Would be the Hairy option. You now she had a great bush.
>>
>>222821173
I never saw this until a few years ago and it further confirmed that mediocre or even "bad" movies from 20+ years ago are generally better than the garbage they put out on streaming.
>>
>>222821564
No :)
>>
>>222821564
>he's a drug dealer so technically he's evil even if he's a hero!
he's technically not a drug dealer at all
>you're white knighting me!
wrong
>you're samefagging me!
got anything else?

>paper cutter scene
literally the only glimpse of this show i remember and i'm pretty sure it was in a commercial for it because i never actually watched the show
>>
>>222823970
kino . . . I don't think they would put that scene in an ad. More likely you walked past the movie playing at some event or on TV. It had novelty as an R rated high school horror movie, people used to put it on. TV edits too

>>
>>222820833
Isn't he held back like 3 grades? That's peak masculinity?

It cracked me up when I was watching that flick in which Adam Sandler has to raise this kid he doesn't know and then Stewart showed up as the kid's actual dad. I had no idea he was in movies either
>>

Charlotte Stokely must've got her name from her as well
>>
>>222824724
That look is my weakness. Too much eyeliner. Shitty dye or bleach job. Hair that looks like she cut it herself in the bathroom.
>>
>>222820852
the movie isnt even "racially homogenous"

Damn american schools look like that??????
>>
>>222821564
...what am I a tourist of exactly? Also no, we're two different posters my guy. FYI remember when I stated my age and that I'm older than 35? That means I've been here longer than you, probably longer than you've been alive. So maybe, shut the fuck up and quit crying like a little faggot.
>>
>>222824470
You left out Jordana, absolutely stacked cast. Almost forgot Salma was the hot nurse. God damn how did they pull this off.
>>
Great film.
>>
>>222827132
Actually yeah, this movie weirdly enough kind of shows off a midwestern school better than a lot of movies in a bunch of ways. Like, I'm literally from Ohio and this movie feels like it's properly set in Ohio while being filmed in Texas. Which isn't too surprising because a lot of some other Texas filmed movies from the time have similar vibes. But like the bleachers/football field scenes are super accurate to a lot of our local high schools at the time and the inside hallway scenes and classrooms are very comparable.

Seeing elijah wood getting elbowed and rammed nuts-first into a flagpole is so funny knowing this kid is probably getting up at 6am every day to go through this again.

God I love this movie.

>>222828034
The movie came out in 1999 and the US was already 75% White in the 2000 census.
