>Tradition is all that matters!!!
>Also, the Monarchy must change with the times! People should marry for love! The rules cannot be stone!
>But not uh, tradition still matters with Edward. He’s a Nazi we swear guys so it’s different. So nobody talk to him. Because uhhhh, tradition matters here even though I’ll let my grandsons marry commoners

That's main theme of the show. Trying to navigate the Royal family through modern times. Early in the series the queen forbids he sister from marrying a divorced man but later on has to come to terms with her daughter doing the same. At that point divorce was too common and wasn't as taboo anymore.

>I’ll let my grandsons marry commoners

obviously a mistake in Harry's case. jury's still out with Will.
>>
You'd think muttoids would have their hands full with their own collapsing shithole rather than constantly obsessing over Europe

>be harry
>have your pick of the litter of any english rose
>marry a half black, divorced, BPD whore

If I were QEII that plan carrying them both home would crash in the ocean.
>>
I literally think (((they))) took out Edward because he was a nazi and having the support of the people, not because he wanted to marry a divorcee american.

I'd be really interested to see what the modern world would look like if Britain had joined the axis powers.
>>
I don't get why they were so upset over the concept of divorce when the only reason the church of england even exists was so Henry VIII could get one.
>>

this isn't that much of a stretch when you look at the "King's Party" (Edward's supporters) and see who their enemies were

She presided over the almost stunning decline of histories most powerful empire and did nothing but manage small tabloid trifles. She was genuinely an idiot.
She should have bought off the military and seized power at multiple points when it would have worked but instead she was worried about the newspaper gossip about her nephews bow tie being too modern or whatever. Clown.
‘I can predict the cabinet’
Wow so smart!

so, a coup that would jeopardize not only the remainder of the empire but also Britain's monarchy and her family's safety.

Jej. Imagine if Harry married a Nippon princess to unite the two crowns.
>>

Kate Middleton isn’t really a commoner, she’s more like gentry.
>>
>>222823563
people thought Diana was a "commoner" in the 80s for not being a royal, and the Spencers were part of the aristocracy
>>
>>222820847
She was so hot in this. Good show that went downhill in the later seasons.
>>
>>222823609
Yeah Diana was as nobility as possible without literally being in the royal family
>>
>>222822644
Yeah, but in Henry's time you could send the exwife to a monastery, in modern times you get the heirs' mother fucked by Indians and Arab billionaires or whatever.
>>

6' 3" Diana.
>>
>1952: roughly 95% White British
>2021: roughly 75% White British
Good job.
>>
>>222824726
the fault of Elizabeth, or the governments the Yookay voted for?
>>
>>222824796
What's her role anyway if she can't do anything?
