People will watch a movie and enjoy the entirely fictional scenario the writers cooked up, critics often feel a need to express their discontent with the content of the fictional world as if they are concerned people watched the movie and thought an AI judge being wrong while trying to murder you under a rigged bullshit proceeding under a time limit is something normies will actually want to be reality
It was a decent AI Concept film but it definitely felt low budget. Small amount of simple sets so where did the money go?

Very few will care if a movie panders to an insulting degree or is a copy of a classic or foreign movie they'll never seen. Critics are usually criticizing things besides the movie itself. EG if they don't like the politics of the director or leader actor. They want to seem to curmudgeonly and hard to please but also don't want to rock the boat by tilting at a movie with tons of money behind it.
