Why are boomer movies so fucking boring holy shit
>>222935449Try "the sting"
>>222935449This was a good movie. It seems boring because you're a retard who needs titties and explosions to feel happy
Deer hunter was taxing for me as a kid but it is a dramatic film with a message and compelling characters. The godfather trilogy is mostly discussions, carlito's way is more exciting.
>>222935449yeah loli thought i was the only one. i rated it a 6 though
Because they're mouthbreathing manchildren and mistook motion picture for recorded coffee klatch.
OP filtered kek
>>222935449Because you're a brown 80 iq zoomer.
>>222935449Every single movie with Hackman I saw was boring as hell. No wonder his name is Hack-man.
>>222935507Wanting titties and explosions would be one things. These kids literally think a movie is bad if doesn't have retarded mcu humor every 10 minutes.
>>222935449>recording conversations was considered a revolutionary technology by boomers We live in actual hell.
>>222935818Take a deep breath, anon. We wouldn't want your stupid head to explode.
>>222935449This only influenced the Lives of Others & The Guilty (not the Jake G remake.)
>>222935449it's obviously shit but people assume it MUST be good because it was made by coppola during his prime, paired with a little bit of hipster contrarianism so that they can say "yeah the godfather is fine, but this thing you probably haven't even heard of is actually coppola at his best". same how people think scorsese's mean streets/casino/after hours are his best works even though all of them are objectively terrible films.
>>222935449Feeling pretty good, today. Here's a (You)./ Verification wasn't even required.
>>222935449filtered
I turned up the volume because it was really quiet then the jumpscare fucking raped my ears
>>222935976Casino is a genuinely good film. The others are all C-tier but not total garbage either, including The Conversation.
Th Conversation is a masterpiece. Go watch Obsession and the Minecraft movie
>>222935976the godfather truly was ass though
>>222935449Because your zoomer brain is wired for 30 second tiktoks
>>222936896>the godfather truly was ass though/tv/ might as well close as a board and become /tktk/ - tiktok faggotry
>>222935449I bet your favourite movies are The Mummy, and The Fifth Element.
>>222937133Not OP but I like The Conversation and hate both of those movies.
>>222935852Touched a nerve
>>222935507Without explosions how do I know which scenes are worth looking away from my phone???
>>222935449What's good about The Conversation compared to Blow Up or even Blow Out? It's the middle of the road film of the 3.
>>222935449FilteredIt's a great movie with a clever twist
>>222937133ah, back when Milla was still cute...
>Watch Casablanca for the first time yesterday>It was fucking shit
>>222937725>a clever twistso it's literally made for redditors
>>222935449It came out in a time when feds needed a warrant to wiretap your phoneline and someone spying on your communication outside of that was shocking. Fast forward to today and we're all constantly spied on 24/7 if only by marketers figuring out how to advertise to us, and feds don't need a warrant to spy on us. So yeah, it actually is boring unless you can put yourself in the context of the time the flick was made.
>>222937133I don't get it. All three of these movies are great.
OP isnt completely wrong, it does slow down in the latter half, becoming partly incomprehensible, but its not bad. i would say it's an acquired taste. like how else would you do a movie about the subject? constant action scenes? thats just unreal. lots of police and spywork is just patience and going to one place from another.
>>222935449>The Conversation>Boring.I hate my generation I really do.
>>222935449Sorry it wasn't 20 seconds long in portrait with royalty free music blasting over it and subtitles explaining what it is happening to your dumb ass
>>222939097You'd make Enemy of the State which is the unofficial sequel to 'The Conversation'.
>>222939097You could trim down at least 30 minutes and nothing of value would be lost.
>>222935449It was inside his saxophone, right? That’s the only thing he didn’t check.
>>222939149exactly, closer to a mass appeal action film, but leass realisitc>>222939158agree
>>222935507I miss tits and explosions. What these fags want is far worse
>>222935818I'm 20 and brown, this is one of my favorite movies.
>>222935449This poster makes it sound kino
>>222935449I just watched it for John cazale
>The Conversation>boringHumanity should have been sterilized after 1988 or 1992 if I'm being generous.
You spend enough time here and you realize 90+% of posters don’t actually care about film as an art medium, they want to argue about culture war slop and sydney sweeney
>>222935449>Gene HACKman>Complete opposite of a hackWho writes this shit?
