That could have been worse. The predictions for the manhunters identity were as accurate as they were obvious. Still seems like Hal is under-utilizing his ring in this. I like the fact that John isn't following what his dumb parents or the guardians are aslking, Hal is starting to be his real father/mentor figure.Not sure about the end of the episode, though.
