This movie was far better than backrooms and obsession because it not only managed to be unsettling but funny at the same time.

it would also petrify a small child

>every black kid in this movie gets killed off brutally.

It really wasn't.
The concept is kind of interesting but it didn't really go anywhere and the ending VFX was comically bad.
There was no backstory outside of ripping off Amanda the Adventurer a bit but again, doing absolutely nothing with it

>what is the fear of the unknown?

because things like cosmic entitles being explained actually makes shit less scary

As he has been told in every interview, Casper Kelly really commits to the bit. This is a normal PBS style kid's show that turns to horror and not a creepy kid's show that gets gory.

My only hang up is that this feels like a one-season Adult Swim show crammed into 90 minutes. And it isn't just that the credits crawl is part of the plot, it is that it feels like there are breaks in the narrative. Still though, I highly recommend this movie.

I feel that the imagery we see at the end tells us exactly what Buddy is but we're not spoonfed so it doesn't become dry anti-capitalist science fiction.

>what is the fear of the unknown?
>It wasn't explained so buddy MUST be a cosmic entity like IT!
Mystery is important but we weren't given clues to anything, just generic 'oh the girl escaped to a studio or something where the kids are being watched THROUGH the TV!' crapolla.
Like I said, nothing special or new.

I just remember the mural of Buddys (apparently there's 3 and they're the school mascots?' there specifically in case they want a sequel

There is a movie? I only watched clips of Cristin Milioti in a tight nurse gown and called it a day.

>here specifically in case they want a sequel
No Buddy literally killed one of them and the other frail one with the glasses had their throat/mouth ripped out. This is a one and done movie
>>
Is there any more to this than watching children be murdered for 90 minutes?
>>
>>223049062
the set design, the humor, the call back nostalgia to barny and pee wee herman
>>
>>223049062
It's an interesting concept even if it never fully takes off so to speak.

The ending really gave off Stanley Parable vibes. The plot is a bit barebones, but I think he's saving the backstory for potential future prequels/sequels. You know how mascot horror goes.

whats with you faggots and the MCU of everything the plot is perfectly self contained not everything needs to be massive with shitty useless lore

>but I think he's saving the backstory for potential future prequels/sequels
I think a lot of this movie was ripped off from other mascot horror games, specifically Amanda the Adventurer and the Duck Season

They didn't bother to write a real back story, just rip off elements from others
