HORRIBLE opinion, shame on you and your zero attention span. I re-watched it about a year ago and it's great. I even picked up on an obscure audio sample that appears in a DJ Shadow album. Something funny is that it's rated "G" based on what I saw (maybe a rating retcon) and you see a bit of man-ass as the guys walk out of the extreme cleansing shower, that together with the threat of human extinction and other elements (alcohol/drug abuse, seeing depictions of dead bodies) makes this rating a bit odd.

The sets are fantastic, and the butch female scientist also does a good job. The young doctor that they bring in is a bit like the human (except for brain implant) in Ghost in the Shell: the team recognizes that they need a general-knowledge human type to round out the crew.
