>BATTER UP!
>>223178423The actor who plays Biff is the best actor that has ever existed and I don’t even know his name or anything else he was in. Biff is also the best character ever. In alternate 1985 when he shouts “Loraine!” I actually tensed up. Also in the beginning when he sees the flying DeLorean and switches from nice Biff to dark Biff and says “what the hell is going on here” and you can see that it’s all an act was pretty awesome.
>>223178423the self propelling scooters that we actually have are much more futuristic than his hoverboard. i now biff and co had powered ones but those just had standard jet motors strapped to the 'future' tech which was the hovering. vs going up a hill and all the way home without pushing like kids scooters today, what does hovering actually get you? you can go on water? that is useless, as we saw in the movie
>>223178938>you can go on water?Earth's surface is 70% water
>>223178875Tom Wilson. He plays a lot of background voices in SpongeBob
>>223178423I've rewatched the BTTF films recently and was a little taken aback by how stagey and over the top the acting is. As a kid I didn't really notice, but now I can easily tell that everyone's kabuki-ing it up.Even the famous "I know this one, this is a classic!" scene where Marty recognizes that show his dad likes, he looks like he's having an episode by how much he overacts. And EVERYONE is like this!
>>223180541Then you're gonna shit yourself any time you watch any movie before 1978. The acting is all shit, the visuals are all shit because of film and the sound is especially shit.
>>223180708My favorite era of film is actually the Old Hollywood era, especially its tail-end in the late 50s and early 60s, and I think it's fair to say that the acting style back then was a lot different from today. A lot more stiff and, yes, stagey, not as realistic or natural...but there were exceptions. People like Kirk Douglas, James Stewart and Cary Grant could feel really damn natural when they weren't doing their "Old Hollywood schitck", and that's also the age when people like Marlon Brando and James Dean started to emerge, and they brought about the whole mathod acting thing, where the goal is to make it feel as real and natural as possible. So the acting style definitely changed, but it wasn't "shit"Also, the visuals are shit? More like current visuals are shit, films have never loked worse than they do now! That Netflix ligthing, those unimaginative visuals and camera angles, those brown filters...they look abhorrent nowadays. The worst looking Old Hollywood film still looks better than most current releases.

>>223178938>what does hovering actually get you?Hoverboard never tripped over a rock, dummy
>>223180950Then how did she write those books, genius?
>>223180541I'm not sure if you noticed but the film is a comedy. I mean maybe zoomers don't have a sense of humour so every film to them is supposed to be serious and played straight but what do I know
>>223181009It's an action sci-fi film with comedic elements, it's not a Laurel and Hardy shortI know it's lighthearted and funny, that's why people overract, I'm just saying I didn't remember it being THIS stagey
>>223180481Tom Wilson is a kino machine even though I can't remember what else I've seen him in, I always know I yelled out,>"Holy shit, it's Biff! Fucking based!"He was in an episode of Workaholics for sure because they went thru and hired a bunch of 80s kino actors.
