One of the coolest guys ever, I'm reading his autobiography right now 'Greenlights'. So his dad was a "Pipe Salesman" and what seems to be a common Irish thief who went and "rolled pipe" which means going out at night and stealing other mens pipes and then selling the pipes back to them or to other pipe customers. Then at 18, Mathew claims he was thrown into the back of a van and raped by a man. I've had to stop reading because the first 10 pages have ruined me mentally. Apparently his mom was insane and his dad would beat the fuck out of her while she defended herself with a kitchen knife until they made love in the kitchen. Are Texans really like this? And how does he maintain such a cool persona and vibe?
