God damn this movie sucks. I hate the 70s.
>>

>>223185195
and they hate you.
>>
>>223185195
there's like 5 good movies that came out of the 70s and everything else was low budget trash that was rightfully forgotten
double so when it comes to sci-fi, Onions Green fucking sucks because the low budget limits the scope
>>

>Norman JEWison
Surprisingly, not a jew.

You fucking suck, OP.

>onions green
The faggot mods are still butthurt over that word, huh?
>>
>>223185298
it's a confluence of 3 things
>most 70s movies having budgets that make them look worse than the lowest budget made-for-TV movies did by the 90s
>70s fashion and aesthetics aging so poorly that there was no nostalgia for it
>utterly dour political and social scene throughout that was reflected in a large amount of movies being nihilistic that no one wanted to be reminded of
you know how there's going to be no movies made about COVID or set during 2020-2021 lockdown era because literally NO ONE wants to be reminded of it? the entire 70s was like that. everyone was broke and miserable and almost every fucking movie was made by the Hollywood equivalent of those annoying Redditors who masturbate to misery porn content
and even the stuff that was made in the later half of the decade that started moving away from this and had larger budgets like pic related were forgotten fast due to badly aged 70s aesthetics
it's half the reason no one gave a fuck about Christopher Reeve's Superman by the late 80s

You know what, every single movie I can think of from the 70s off the top of my head right now all visually look like garbage in terms of both setting/props/design and visual quality, so you might be on to something. Just scenes full of garbage and trash and lots of criminality.

The Warriors
Dirty Harry
Death Wish
Taxi Driver
Mr. No Legs
>>
what a thread of retarded opinions. not enough CGI or blue filters for you guys?
>>
>>223185298
how many 70s movies have you watched?
>>
>>223185298
>Onions
Took me a moment to realized why you typed this instead of the real title kek
>>
I like it and watched it many times. what 70s sci fi movie do you like? THX1138 is my favorite

>Expect dystopian deathsport kino
>Instead it's about some boring fucking guy walking around ugly sets and mumbling to himself about not being in full control of his life as a pro rollerball player, while everyone on earth fellates him and tells him he's the most important person on the planet
I feel cheated. Why was 70s sci-fi simultaneously so high concept yet so shit in the execution, it's like the decade was defined by a high octane concept done in the most boring way possible on the cheapest sets they could find

How bad was she spam that they filtered this?
>>

I'm not going to call you a newfag (you are) but the funniest part for me is that "cuck" is now unfiltered but if you write it in all caps you get KEK.
>>
I'm more of a Death Race 2000 (1975) kind of guy.
>>
>>223188044
I prefer "Election Tourist"
>>

>it's like the decade was defined by a high octane concept done in the most boring way possible on the cheapest sets they could find
this is literally the reason why every one that had a half decent idea eventually got remade in the early 00s by the people who grew up watching them
same thing behind all the 80s remakes of 50s horror movies but with modern Savini-level practical effects
>>
>>223185298
Imagine being this much of a fucking loser.

That's a big ol' yikes.

Every "cool" 70's movie has like 20 good minutes worth of movie and another 70 minutes of boring melodrama that sucks and you have to sit through all this stupid boring shit to get to the "good parts."

It wasn't until the 80's and 90's that they learned how to make a movie out of just good parts and skip over all the Hallmark melodrama shit.
