is this the most boring james bond movie?
>>
>>223187945
Spectre is also quite lame
>>
>>223187945
that's not a view for a kill, which feels like a glorified TV movie despite the cast
>>
>>223187945

it's a film, not a movie
>>
>>223188010
It’s a picture, not a story
>>
>>223187945
It only gets boring during the last 20 minutes with the love story stuff
>>
>>223188006
geriatric bond is worst bond
>>
>>223188010
its ma'am!
>>
never got the hate for OHMSS, dropping Connery was the right call considering what a fucking stinker DAF is

I'm actually reading the book right now. Almost finished. And the book is fucking way worse than the film. Other than Bonds hilarious misogyny, obvious alcoholism, and one skiing chapter, the book has nothing going on. At least the film has Diana Rigg to look at.

>never got the hate for OHMSS
Lazenby is a terrible actor, it brings down the movie a lot
>>
>>223188158
isnt the book written from the woman's point of view?
>>
the plot was absolutely batshit insane:
>while out for a drive he just randomly sees a girl trying to drown herself
>so he goes to save her and then two random people try to kill him for no reason
>the suicidal girl runs off
>he just so happens to run into her at a hotel and fucks her
>then the two guys who tried to kill Bond from before capture him
>they take him to meet the girls father, who offers Bond a million dollars if he marries her
>Bond, of course, refuses this offer for no reason at all
>the father then says he can give Bond information on Blofeld, and then he agrees
>so then Bond goes on a bunch of dates with this girl
>then he ditches her to go do some actual espionage
>and Blofeld's plot is even crazier.
>he's planning on using cosmetic surgery on his earlobes so he can pass himself off as an aristocrat
>and Blofeld has set up a lab in the mountains where he plans to cure a bunch of food allergies in some young women, but really he's hypnotizing the girls to turn them into sleeper agents and release a virus across the world

Is this a callback or not?
>>
>>223188246
kek it's so retarded
>>
>>223188285
It is, No Time To Die was heavily drawing on OHMSS for its plot, almost a soft remake. Even has the same Louis Armstrong song.
>>
>>223188158
> misogyny
It isn’t muh misogyny you stupid low test zoomer bitch.
Men were manlier
>>
>>223188246
was based on a true story
>>
Telly Savalas was a good Blofeld, quite possibly the best, and certainly better than what came before. Donald Pleasance was feces-tier in every performance of his career, and that's why he was the only OG cast member who showed up for all the cheap Halloween sequel made during his lifetime.
>>
>>223188217
No, that's The Spy Who Loved Me.

>>223188246
Hmm, are you talking film or book? Sounds as though you mean film.

The book has all (or almost all) those incidents but they make sense. It's one of the best books of the series. The opener with Tracy's attempted suicide and the blokes coming along is enigmatic, obviously, but then there's a flashback to the previous day with the casino etc that explains everything. And Blofeld's evil scheme is ingenious and not wildly implausible.

No it's from mostly Bonds.

Calm down my seething friend. I actually enjoyed the misogyny and racist parts. It was strange reading Ian Fleming write misogynistic moments and then constantly describe things as being "gay".

The Bond books are hilarious.
>>223187945
OHMSS is kino, just for the Louis Armstrong, the film theme and Diana Rigg. The ending is heartbreaking
>>223188285
No time to die was shit. They gave it to a woman who had not created the franchise to take it in a direction she had no right to take it in.
>>
>>223187945
It's overrated, but I wouldn't necessarily call it boring. This anon >>223187970 is right in that Spectre is way more boring

Thunderball
>>
>>223188246
the skiing and driving segments are kino. i just fast-forward through the whole ski lodge undercover plot with bond acting like a retard for nearly 30 mins.
>>
The World Is Not Enough is the most boring, even more than Thunderball
but I haven't seen the Craig Bonds so it's very possible they top TWINE and Thunderball
>>
>>223187945
Thunderball really drags in the final act and ends very abruptly, which is a shame considering that the plot itself is pretty good. I've always thought Live and Let Die was dull. I'd say Dr No but it almost has to get a pass because it's the first.
>>
>>223187945
I think so. I started watching it, but it was so boring that I had to stop, and I never finished watching it.
>>
>>223188304
They used the theme in the trailers for Spectre too. They were trying to set up Mideline as Craig's Tracy but not a soul alive or born later ever bought it.
