It's actually still more of a progressive/liberal portrayal of blacks. But it is well rounded and willing to show the realistic ugly sides of black ghetto culture which I liked, as one who had grown up near it.It really is impossible to do anything like that these days, and so we miss good opportunities for compelling storytelling.
