Mass society ironically requires far greater psychological repression to get millions of people to “fit in” well enough to keep the system running. And even still the wheels are constantly falling off and breaking down and we seem to be on this weird downward spiral of “progress” where everything seems constantly worse even though by the measures we’ve chosen they are getting better(or were until 2008 or so)

It's life on easymode essentially, with no worries about money throughout ones childhood or adolescent, and a guaranteed job at the end. Balls, gowns, ancient portraits, all make for the upper class environment girls love because it affords them a sense of superiority and distinction from their peers (plus a choice of equally upper class guys).2. The fighting in Harry Potter is not done by hands or traditional weaponry, something very unique in fiction. Even Star Wars has lightsabers and laser guns, both advanced versions of swords and rifles (masculine). Instead Hermione can use her nerdiness to battle her enemies (using her academic knowledge and bookishness) and even if she is forced into combat, it isn't as if she has to adopt the nu-feminist idea that "gurls are just as strong as boys hehe!" as seen in many modern movies where some "badass" dyke karate kills ten guys twice her size. Instead she can muster all her repressed energy (which is abundant in nerdy girls) and use it to create a force which shoots from her wand (which satisfies her penis envy) to overwhelm the inner force of her enemies.It's the ideal low IQ female-friendly story. It's an ok children's book series at the beginning until it goes off the rails near the end, womanchildren love it because in its core it's a very childish story with very little stakes (because voldemort is a joke who only shows up sometimes) with "comfy" magic school vibes and some relationship crap. Harry is also a quasi-female protagonist, he does't really go through the hero's journey, he gets constantly proven right so he doesn't really need to go through a major change in his worldview, everyone's a shithead to him for no reason until he gets asspulls to win (and doesn't even kill voldemort, he just kills himself lol). It also had multiple adaptations, a shitton of merch and Harry Potter shit still gets made so girls who grew up with Harry Potter won't let it go, it's kind of like what Star Wars (before the sequels) was to boys but for girls.
