I was going to posit this as a conspiracy theory but I'll just declare it as out right fact...The reason we have so many remakes from the 80s and 90s is because they (idk who) are trying to make us think that nothings changed...because everything has, and if they actually made modern dramas with modern AI psychosis themes etc its would be too existential and people would freak out.

Nonwoke parents are usually good at filtering content for their kids, and often times show them older, quality entertainment.
