>>223191936>>223193359>>223193956There must be something about the 70's SF and adjacent, Onions Green, Zardoz, and Logan's Run were all equally tiresome to sit through, and they came out within 3 years in mid decade. On the other hand you had Andromeda Strain, Capricorn One and last but not least Alien that were all excellent in their own ways - but those were 1971, 1978 and 1979 respectively. You could throw Close Encounters (1977) in there too probably. So maybe it's just the middle of the decade that's so near unwatchable? I wonder why.
