As someone that hates both Star Wars and Zack Snyder movies, I think it is a shame Zack Snyder hasn't been allowed to make a Star Wars movie. It'd be the most hilarious thing ever. It could actually kill Star Wars for real.

But the box ticking squad is so fucking lame and forgettable, it's incredible. In the past with different characters you'd have had at least a niche following (similar to Riddick), who still want to see where it goes, but here there is just nothing. The best characters (which isn't a high bar) were the dude who betrayed them and died and the android soldier before he randomly became a fucking druid. The sword woman could've maybe been decent if they would've given her a better design, instead of the safe traditional chinese slopfit. And I don't even remember the other characters. They really need to stop wanting to have their cake and eat it too, as the people who this was sloppified for never gave a shit, while the people who did watch it had their eyes glaze over because of that. That they tried way too hard to speedrun this into being a big thing was a retarded idea - people can feel that in their bones, it never works. It was also just bad pacing-wise with a cast that was way too big for something that is supposed to be an introduction to an entirely new universe. It needed to be an adventure, not them living at story's-end village and doing a quick recruitment montage for a climactic fight, when you don't have time to care about anyone involved (not that time would've improved these characters, just speaking in general).
