>Pizza delivery for, uh... I. C. Weiner? Aw, crud.

Fry is portrayed here as being gullible, but he didn't take the order and bake the pizza, but nobody gives shit to Mr. Panucci.

Saw a video the other day how someone ordered like 10 pizzas and didn't pick them up, name the order was for is Charlie Kirk, couldn't help but think of this scene.

Is it supposed to be
I see Weiner?
or like
Icy Weiner?

Icy, because Nibbler made the call and knew he was going to be frozen for 1000 years.

Speaking of nibbler, is there a recording out there of the first TV broadcast of the pilot? Was nibbler always there?
>>
>>223206130
Yeah it sure is funny when moderate peace-loving people are murdered

It told the rest of us that there is no point in being nice or talking to our enemies

oh, "Chuck's Wiener" i get it now

I’d forgotten that retcon and it kinda ruined the series retroactively

>is there a recording out there of the first TV broadcast of the pilot? Was nibbler always there?
yes and yes.

pic's from Morbotron (so probably upscaled, from some streaming service). but i remember wondering exactly this and finding forum threads where people had taped the original.

they hadn't planned EVERYTHING though. like
>Fry is immune to the Brains because uh...he's his own grandfather!
total asspull. they were basically just connecting different dots.
>>
>>223206284
i had no idea they put that in the episode, neat

>penguin episode
>Leela shoots Bender
>Bender resets and identifies Leela as human rather than an alien
>wasn't revealed as a mutant until the next season

neat.

>show has a whole Alienese language in background signs
>goes beyond 'A = B', 'B = C', etc.
>there's some actual algorithm/decryption involved
>took fans/nerds years to solve it from all the on-screen text

Futurama was fun in a Lost kind of way.

If you think that milquetoast suburban boy was an extremist, you got a rude awakening coming

It wont be the charlie kirks of the world pointing a gun at your face

Why not Zoidberg?

There was actual effort put into the worldbuilding of Futurama which is a bit sad because the show is kinda mid and effortlessly mogged by The Simpsons
>>

that was the style at the time!
been enjoying Farscape lately. it's clear there's network fuckery, however TV was made back then, but that they had SOME sort of established setting in mind.

Futurama fell into The Simpsons trap of becoming all self-aware. a lot of the
>hey that's pretty clever
moments have been beaten into the ground, retconned, and revisited. like how many times have they gone back in time to before Fry was frozen?

one of the revivals had an episode where they all knew about Nibbler because he forgot to wipe their memories, they just treated him as a pet for the lulz.

reminded me of that Simpsons episode where the cat dies, they buy an identical one and call it Snowball II 'to save money on a new dish'. fuck you.

But that's funny. Also, The Simpsons not having money to spend on a new cat dish sounds accurate.

Original run is a solid 8/10 and is one of my favorites. Everything that comes after drags it down but that's the way things be. Though I do like some of the movie stuff and a few comedy central eps. Haven't actually seen the Hulu stuff and doubt I will.

except over the course of the episode they go through a bunch of different cats, Snowballs III-VIII or something, that all look different and all die.

but then it just-so-happens Snowball IX is identical to Snowball II, and even though they bought other cats (including new cat stuff for them), they decide to name it Snowball II, and even point out Principal Skinner is actually Armin Tamzarian IT'S HILARIOUS META JOKES U GUISE! THEY R SELF-AWARE SO IT'S FUNNY!! HAHAH

pic related: the character of Fat Tony died years ago. his cousin Fit Tony gained weight and took his place.
