Does it still hold up?
yeah
On its own merits? Absolutely and totally. But I have basically intravenously injected the show, so it has been played out for me personally.
It's the only dramatized docu-series worth a damn. Unfortunately, it was so good that what it created was a tsunami of absolutely dogshit copycats. Often based on complete fiction or bend the truth to the point of comedy.
It depends on how immersed you can get. If you look at it as an accounting of real events then it can get a little overdramatic. They try to make every interaction between people seem very heavy or somber or urgent. Not to say the real event wasn't a big deal but the series really leans into it. They also made some stuff up including a main character who exists to drive the plot forward and often comes off as way too insightful and honest compared to everyone else. It's not that long though and it's worth a watch if you're interested in the gist of what really happened.
I miss the meme posting.
>>223209070The "worst part" isn't even that bad and is easily ignored when so much of the rest of the show is kino incarnate
