Movies on the same level as Crimson Tide
probably the hunt for red october
>>223213850hmm good choice
Idk. Good flick though. Kept me entertained/engaged even when I was too depressed to enjoy most flicks.
>>223213867for me, it was the cute technician sailor twink that repairs the comms.
>>223213850Basically this and nothing else.
>>223213891Burn in hell you negrotic niggardly faggot nigger kike rat.
Das Boot i guess?Red October < Crimson Tide
>>223213891"I want WARP SPEED on those comms"Good line. even if you are a massive faggot
>>223213850K-19: The Widowmaker
>>223213753see>>223214954
>>223213753Denzel literally beat up Quentin because of this movie lol
>>223213850>>223213918I didn't ask you to name all that shit. What the fuck is wrong with you?
>>223213753Woke movie
>>223213753i think it was pretty mid. Also that fire in the kitchen was absurd, what were they cooking? Gasoline?
>>223213850Bubbleheads will tell you Red October is much better. Crimson Tide is way more Hollywood in its depiction of submarines and submarine warfare. The Navy told the filmmakers to fuck off
This movie was a big disappointment because I liked the cast. Such a dumb script. Why didn't they at least make it somewhat believable that Hackman was right? And why did they need to make it super obvious he's a bad guy by making him say racist things to Denzel at the end of the movie. Lazy shitty writing.
>>223214996oil fires are pretty common in kitchenscooking oil is flammable if you didn't know because you have an american education
>>223215128have you seen the movie?
>>223215414yeah they had a bit of movie theatrics to it this isn't some ultra realism
>>223215591The issue is that its an catastrophic problem on a fucking submarine and obviously real submarines have multiple countermeasures against (kitchen) fires (like no open flames period, seriously a gas stove? The fuck), the overblown hollywood presentation made it all very comical.
U571 is good. People get too hung up on muh historical accuracy
>>223215128>they just use commercial kitchen equipment with open flames in submarines Retard
>>223213753This movie felt like a really great episode of a tv series, red october felt like a proper movie
>>223215743it's a waste of time to watch this when it's a bad copy of Das Bootwatch that a second time instead
>>223215692see>>223215591>this isn't some ultra realism
>>223215024Red October is Ronald Reagan approved, and definitely in my top 5 movies of all time.>>223215743>U571 is good. It's really not. Cheap cash-in of the war movie crazy of the period, basically inventing ways Americans could take credit for cracking Enigma, when they had nothing to do with it.>>223214954>K-19: The WidowmakerWorth watching just for Harrison Ford committing to his Russian accent, but Liam Neeson not giving a shit.
>>223216371u-571 is a fun flick and if you approach it that way you'll enjoy it. I will hear no more derision over this subject from now on.
>>223213753U-571 might be good
>>223213753Instill haven’t seen this>>223213918>>223215930For me it is the original complete six episode run of Das Boot. >>223215743>>223216371>>223216926>>223216966Recently watched U-571 for the first time since it came out. It’s a popcorn flick. More fantasy than anything else. It’s fine if you want to spend 2 hours watching dudes in boats. But it is so far flung it is absurd. Same with K-19 if I remember it right. I recommend classics like Run Silent Run Deep and The Caine Mutiny if you want boat kino that revolves around conflict between the Captain and the other Officers.
the only good sub movie is das boot the rest just pale in comparison
>>223217176K19 was mediocre but not bad. Better than U571 I'd say.
>>223215743it sucks!
>>223213753Does this movie have any female characters? Not simply extras walking around
>>223217218K19 was very good despite Russian Harrison Ford
>>223217386only you, the viewer aka the faggot, aka the estrogen "man" aka the zestiest
>>223217176>Run Silent Run Deep and The Caine Mutiny if you want boat kino that revolves around conflict between the Captain and the other Officers.NTA but thanks bro, I've been itching for some subkino
Down Periscope
>>223217421Good post
>>223217200He asked for movies on the same level as Crimson Tide. Das Boot is on another strata of existence
>>223215029Hackman looked like he was about to burst out laughing with that racialist-ass tirade he does at the end
Reaction images I made that never caught on
>>223217448only correct answer in the whole threadit was a nice touch finally showing the tattoo at the end of the credits
>>223213753Great ost at any rate
>crimson tide is about a submarine>submarines go under the water>OP asked for movies on the same levelJarvis, combine these facts into a coherent joke
>>223219214>>223213753
>>223213753"Deacon Blues"
>>223217421There you go again projecting your debilitating agp on normal people
>>223213753>Tony Soprano>Matthew BevilaquaEveryones in this!
best part of das boot is when they're going deep for the first time and that one redhead guy is trying to freak out the journalist by sayng the boat can be crushed. god damn what a movie. heil hitler btw.
>>223219214I sea the level you’re on. I have a sinking feeling these jokes are going to be very subpar.
