For a flick about a bunch of middle class city kids being unable to unravel mediocre parenting it wasn't really that bad. Of course something with that many browns in it gets overhyped to the moon and back.

The only good part was the twist ending where she's on the other side of the ritual. Very nasty stuff otherwise with the dog kissing scene and the tacit racism towards White Australians.

surprisingly good movie. i had no expectations going in and it was solid. even had some actual spooky parts. not sure what more you want to be said about it though. the dudes who made it made a mother decent movie and seemingly have promising careers ahead of them.
