The owl woman in Under the Silver Lake unnerved me enough to bolt up in bed and scramble to turn on the lights a couple times. Not a horror movie though.

It's not a scare per se, but the part in The Apostle where he's in the filthy water in a drain tunnel, and the gross grandma appears in the dirty water (actually a depleted Goddess but that's besides the point) and starts trying to grab the protag gave me a strong "NO NO NO NO DO NOT WANT" sensation.Not a scare per se but the closest I get to them.I also really enjoyed the first Gladys appearance (when she appears on the ceiling) in Weapons, it's a quality jumpscare (even though I started laughing).
