the real answer is he's just a one-dimensional stock character. people have described this show as 'nerd blackface' and it's a decent analogy. it's cartoonish. one character has female-only selective mutism, or some shit. they could have, say, a horndog character where EVERYTHING is porn to his perverted mind (trip to the bank? porn. fixing the kitchen sink? porn. watching videos of couples fucking? porn.)Sheldon's whole gimmick is he just interprets the world like>I care not for your human desire for coitus.
