What was your initial reaction to this episode?
>>223217445where's agent cooper?
HEEELLLLLOOOOOOOO
>>223217445Was she laura dern?
I knew then I had witnessed the purest strain of kinography available
>>223217445The Return was already boring bullshit, so I felt nothing.
Somebody post the /tpg/ thread.
>>223217476If you mean the little girl, it's heavily implied to be Sarah Palmer.
>>223217445Thought it was kind of gay but have come to appreciate it a lot more with time. As answers to it all go its not the worst.
>>223217445the whole reason I started watching twin peaks was because I saw a webm from this episode. I watched s1, s2, fire walk with me, finished s3 and I fucking SKIPPED this episode accidentally. still haven't watched it out of spite
>>223217611My understanding is its trying to explian why all of tein peaks is happening. You debatable missed the most important episode. How's fire walk with me? Thats the one I missed.
>>223217633FWWM is very important as well, I'd highly recommend it
>>223217445I was utterly baffled yet amazed, I immediately got what lynch what trying to do and essential "explain" the world Legitimately it was kino
>>223217633lol, how do people fuck up watching twin peaks like thiswatch FWWM and more things in The Return will make sense.
Nine inch Nails was cringe.>>223218205Mark Frost said all of that shit was his idea on a podcast. The nukes bringing evil into the world and lodge gods taking notice of our world. Its actually quite interesting.Lynch came up with the ideas, imagery, and concepts and Frost would mould it into a narrative and create the lore.
>>223218262>The Nine inch Nails was cringe.ftfy
>>223217445It was fine a bit overdrawn. I definitely liked the beginning of the episode more than the ending where I almost fell asleep. I was kinda waiting for the episode to end.
>>223217633FWWM is the springboard for most of the ideas in season 3.Watch the blue rose cut, it's the best.https://archive.org/details/fwwm-extended-blue-rose-cut_20230908/FWWM+Extended+Blue+Rose+Cut.mp4
>>223218262Yeah it stands to reason that Twin Peaks is both Lynch and Frost even though people kind of put it all on lynch. They're very much both essential. Frost idea for where to end was good but Lynch's idea on where to end is probably why I will always remember The Return
>>223218300No one ever seems to mention that the Chris Issac story at the beginning is evil Twin Peaks.Chris Issac's a prick, the cops are pricks, and the townsfolk/diner are all pricks.
Literally what did he mean by this?
I'm watching all of Twin Peaks with my gf (her first time) and she enjoyed Part 8. She says at first The Return was hard to get into, but now she loves it. She even enjoyed the worse parts of S2. She might be the one. Also she has a fat ass and joked about being Dougie for Halloween.
Thankyou Mr. Jackpots!
>>223218300Bump.And yes this is the only version to watch.
A far better depiction of a nuclear bomb than that hack Nolan, that's for fucking sure
>>223217468this
>>223217445I was incredibly lucky. I had no idea what it would be about (was when it first aired) and I was sitting outside by a fire pit having a drink so I was completely sucked into it without any distractions and kind of an eiere setting. I was blown away. I am so scared to watch it again in case it's not the same experience.
>>223217468BONSAI?! HEY COOP THAT REMINDS ME, THE JAPANESE SCREAM BANZAI WHEN THEY PULL OUT THEIR SWORDS AND CHARGED TOWARDS AMERICAN TROOPS AS A FORM OF INTIMIDATION. BANZAAAAAIIIII!!!!
