It looks almost too good for stop-motion. It's so smooth and clean it might as well be CG.

>>223225616Kubo sputtered at the end because Travis Knight came in took over after he fired the original writer and director. The original creator, Shannon Tindle, had been developing that film since around 2001 and it was very personal to him because it was based around his mother in law dealing with dementia. Knight had no heart in the story and basically took over it to fill his ego and get a Director credit.
