I can not understate how painfully cringe the dialogue and choices started to get ESPECIALLY at the end of the movie. The first 1/3 was good. 2/3 was okay. The last 1/3 was abysmal.

The MC's plan he had before screaming "video games! Fuck yeah!" after doing it, was fucking asinine and cartoonish. The fact that he seems to have a lobotomy halfway through and keeps lingering in places he shouldn't was just the icing of the cake.

And the final dialogue in the final scene is tear jerkingly cringe

98% where? Rotten Tomatoes? On that site, the percentage is only how many people rated it positively, not *how* positively. If everyone gave it a 6/10, that's 100% by their stupid measure that everyone puts way too much value on. Not to mention a ton of those critics are basically bribed by studios to give good reviews, and how those critics use their rating as a form of social justice virtue signaling.

SPOILERS

The baby ward scene was atrocious. He was so close, so close to the bridge and lab.

And he enters this room, FILLED with infected blood bubbles, babies and guts. Any thing can lounge out at him. And the door is so close.

And the fucker pretends like he is on a sight seeing trip. He sees one particularly large bubble he accidentally pushed.

Then he sees it grow, and grow and grow. He sits and keeps watching it grow.

Then it pops. Silence. Baby arms begin very slowly popping out.

Mind you, the door is two meters away, but the fucker just stays and watches.

Mutated baby creature eventually sprawls other arm, then head then begins coming out and only once the other creatures start spawning and screaming, does the fucker start moving.

Mind you, the entire movie we established that ANYTHING at ANY moment can VERY quickly attack you at any point.

And the lab scene? With the vial?

With the chud scientists all dying one by one. Each one grabbing the vial, not even attempting to use it but to instead say a cheesy child one liner.

"Dude, it's been here the whole time!"

Really? You think that's what you should do? Giant monster that needs to be medicated is thrashing all around and killed half your lab mates, and you think the appropriate thing to do is to turn away from it, gaze at the lab mate who was gazing at the ampule for the last minute and knew it was there and say "bro! It was here!" And then immediately die?

Something akin to this happened like 4 times in a row in that fuck ass scene at the ending

And the "video games!" Scene is so stupid. Why not just cross the broken bridge and get to the lab?

Why wait for them to climb and get out of the baby ward?

The answer is that the MC thought of the most cartoonish plan. Instead of keep moving across the broken bridge and get to the safety of the other side and the lab. He did something so stupid or boggles the mind.

Behind him the door with the mutated babies from the ward was about to explode. And on the side of the building a huge lump monster was climbing to him.

So the fucker shot the broom blocking the door, causing the babies mother things to come out, that all just fell on the beast. Apparently every other creature can lunge but not them. And they take out the lump beat too. Even though they could have very easily just not done that.

Then he, I shit you not, screams "yeah! Video games!"

The worse part is that he gets infected half way through but has half of the vial antidote and needs to get it to the lab. He decides to just take his sweat time. Have a look at the baby ward, record a message for his wife, have idle chit chat with the side characters, keep inspecting his infected arms, making witty chud banter

I realize I forgot to explain context. MC gets infected half way through the scene but plot twist, the kidney he thinks he is holding is for some reason the vial needed to craft the antidote for these mutated things.

He needs to make it to umbrella corps lab. Has he gets there, he wastes time for chud dialogue. As he enters, he wastes time on chud dialogue. Before entering there is a scene underground in the sewers where he sees a 500kg man that is moaning. He sees a ladder to her out of the sewers. What does he do? Does he use the ladder? Nope he just keeps walking towards the man asking him if he's okay. Even though we established the town has taken over and the man is 10 feet tall, 500kg, pale and not talking. Rats pop out and he SOMEHOW kills all of the 100s of them with spamming a gun he never used. Does he now go to the ladder? Nope he has to inspect them. Reminder that HE IS ON A TIMER AND INFECTED

He enters and the scientists in the speakers of garage are celebrating and urging him to get to 24th floor. Bro is groaning and complaining that it will take too long and he asks if he can use elevator. They keep telling him he can't cause building is half destroyed. I get that he sitesd due to infection but he yolos it and at the fourth floor says screw it and takes elevator. Cartoonist comical video game scene ensued where acid throwing monster throws acid and he has to dodge it. Then somehow uses rope and climbs. But lump monster is also chasing from below
And like a video game he climbs, tackles acid monster, and makes it throw up it's acid on the lump monster. Even though we established these monsters can just expose their tenders and stab you at the blink of an eye, our MC just choke holds the acid monster and says video games again

He has to get to 24th and then skybridge. He gets there but to get to sky bridge you need to pass a very small baby ward room filled with infected sleeping form babies and mothers. He enters and is very close to door but accidentally bumps a cradle with giant blood buble.

He is infected. Limited time. Door or right there to sky bridge. But he sits and waits for the bubble to grow, grow grow and pop. Then baby mother thing to slowly come. Then others to begin being born
The door was right there but he stayed like that legit staring for a minute and a half. He runs out of the door but bridge is destroyed and he almost falls to his death. Jams door with his broomstick. He also notices that lump creature fork before is climbing on the side of the exposed building to get to him. Instead of just continuing to side step the bridges sides and go to the lab, he stands there and waits. He then shoots the broom, making the monsters come out, for some reason not lunge at him even though every creature so far can lunge or use tendrils not to fall, and they all fall on lump creature and MC says video games! Fuck yeah!

He makes it to the lab and they get the cure ready but he is infected. By the time they retrieve it from machine he begins in semi monster form attacking and killing them.

The scientists realize they need to use the new cure on him or they will die in infected room. But a game of pass the banana ensues where they pass the vile to someone, that someone gets caught and instead of attempting to stab MC with vial just keeps shouting.

Then every person who catches it, gets progressively more cartoonish..room filled with smoke, MC going nutso. Half of the lab mates are dead. Lab dude crawls on floor, finds dropped vial again, and sees other lab made silently staring at him. Dude turns his back to the beast, looks at the lab mate, smiles and shouts at the guy WHO WAS STARING AT THE VILE THE ENTIRE TIME BUT TRYING TO HIDE "dude! The vial was here the whole time!" And gets immediately marked. This specific sequence happens 3-4 times in this lab scenes ensues. Dialogue gets more chud-y every time. Last scientist grabs vial but doesn't use it on MC and instead goes for door, escapes but not really. MC grabs him and is almost monster but begs him to use it, dude takes it out, stares at MC for 15 seconds straight and the ampule drops and breaks. Dude dies, MC is implied to die as helicopter surrounds building. End of movie

I have to highlight this. The door, IS RIGHT THERE. He can very EASILY and SAFELY get there within 2 seconds. It's that close. But he stays to watch the bubble grow. Just like autism stare at it. For a minute and a half. When the door is right there.

This MC was so logical throughout the entire nur half way through he just decides that now that he is infected and needs to get the vial to the lab to save himself and all the town, he will stall to make chud jokes, sight see, etc etc
