>want to buy a much bigger company using money borrowed from Saudi Arabia and AI companies that have yet to turn a profit
>pay way more than anyone else was willing to
>on top of this pay Netflix $3 billion to not buy them
>on top of that promise to get the merger done in a third of the time it would've taken Netflix lest you'll pay the shareholders millions PER DAY
>inevitably hit a snag because California knows you're planning on firing most of the WB people and gobbling the IP
>you have openly gloated about this to shareholders as part of your pitch
>fully agree to put the merger on hold until the trial, then have a melty immediately after when you realize this could mean the merger closes after your promised deadline
>threaten to move to Texas, simultaneously giving California another reason to not want you to own another major corporation and putting much larger financial strains upon yourself
>try playing the antisemitism card when they call your bluff
>actually commit to Texas move before the merger was blocked or even went to trial just because you don't want to actually pay an extra fee on top of the monumental one you are paying for the company itself

Yeah? It's pretty obvious the whole merger has been a fiasco and they threatened to leave California thinking it'd make California bend to their will immediately. Since that hasn't happened, they're working backwards trying to figure out how it'll work. They haven't even settled on where they'd go yet.

Everyone notices how bad the advertising industry has gotten with that shit, but you just don't notice it at all in movies and video games. Strange. >but you just don't notice it at all in movies and video games
For movies so far they really only have used it to help de-age characters or to filter out sound. So you don't notice it as far as the sound goes because its removing something that was likely simply annoying anyway. As far as video games go ask /v/ and they'll give you all kinds of cases of AI being extremely noticeable. One is in art. Some games have used generative AI to make textures. Compared to the human made ones they stand out like a sore thumb. Then there is static character art which anyone can spot a mile away as AI. Instead of doing it themselves developers have just made all of that with AI, background, UI elements. Then the latest AI in games use has been people "vibe coding" decomps of games. In other words they're porting games to say PC and they're having AI come up with the code to do it. Its full of tens of thousands of useless code entries that bog the whole thing down and fill it with bugs

No. That gets decided at the new headquarters. The California offices will become satellite officers IF THEY decide to keep them and not sell them off.

The biggest change is California can't charge Paramount taxes anymore because the HQ is not there anymore. You can only charge taxes if the HQ resides in your state. Which is why California is desperate not to lose Paramount or WB.
