I am not sure how I feel about the new dark, gritty, woke, live action Spongebob. What do you guys think? I think casting Jack Nicholson as Mr. Krabs was a mistake. I also think there is too much swearing just for the sake of swearing. Like, who uses that many sailor mouth words in real life? Too edgy. Also, what is up with the leftist political undertone?

A serious take on SpongeBob solving a real life crime in the surface world while Patrick tags along would do gangbusters at the box office.
