Notice how Sopranos went from a beautiful color pallet to dim colors after season 4 to represent a major thematic change, then every single studio production kept that grey muted pallet for the next 2 decades regardless of content matter?

It's almost like there is a desire for all modern media to be as nihilistic, depraved, demoralizing and depression inducing as possible. To squeeze any hope and life out of the world and make everyone docile, miserable, servile beings with no vigor for life.

But who knows, maybe I'm just crazy.
