Avengers: Endgame will be re-released as Avengers Endgame: Encore on September 25. Will it make the 126,209,380 dollars it needs to make to reclaim the throne from Avatar? I hope it doesn't because I want Avatar to remain Number One. Personally, I'm disgusted that the Russos are releasing two different versions of Avengers Endgame: Encore based on how much money you pay. If you pay more money, you get more new footage. I think that's disgusting not because I can't pay for more new footage (because I can) but because there should only be one version of Avengers Endgame: Encore and that's the version of Avengers Endgame: Encore that has the most new footage. This is not only a cash grab but a double-dipping cash grab. For that reason, I won't be watching any version of Avengers Endgame: Encore in theaters.

What I've been wanting for MONTHS now from the Endgame re-release is for the Endgame re-release to be the same film as the original Endgame film except for the ending with the ending revealing that Encore takes place in an alternate timeline where Tony makes a mistake with the Infinity Gauntlet or something like that and this mistake is responsible for the existence of Doctor Doom. Doctor Strange said he saw 14,000,605 timelines and the Avengers won in only one of those timelines. Avengers Endgame: Encore should happen in the worst of the 14,000,604 remaining timelines.

Re-releasing the previous film ahead of a sequel is pretty standard. Avatar, Dune, other super hero shit. It's not a new idea at all. Slapping in new scenes also isn't new.
