Played the PS2 game and solved the mystery of the nano-rice (good game). Have only watched the first 2 episodes of the new series...I don't know how I feel about this.I remember this same style of line from SAC (2nd gig I think?) and I didn't like it then either, made her sound like a fucking dumbass bootlicker in my mind. But here I don't like it because of the delay and tone and atmosphere of the scene. The long pause would have lent itself better to silence than the arbitrary english and long line.I feel like SAC Motoko is the best compromise. She has her softer moments and teasing moments but is still kind of autistic/authoritative but not completely goofy like everything I've seen of Motoko in Science Saru and not completely stonefaced autistic like '95.

Innocence is a little overrated but the philosophical babble can get grating. The uncanny cgi enhances the film imo, it makes the world look extra unnatural. I don't know if that was the intent. Godly soundtrack as well, just like the first.
