Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)Paul Reubans is the best part of the movie. He's just a side character, but he might as well be the star main character.
I like the one where he goes "BLEH I VANT TO DRINK YOUR BLOOD BLEH!" and then he pulls out the lady's tampon and sticks it in his mouth and whacks off in the corner while moaning and farting uncontrollably.

Hasn't been a good one. Have to ignore the book past the excellent intro.Luc Benson's one does that somewhat but not enough not to spoil it.Robbert Eggers is a degenerate but his start was good too. Most are. It's the rest that is senseless drivel. I don't want to see students and church glorified. Women etc murdered because they're weird.I didn't watch to the end of Bensons but it might have gotten better after it sacrificed a cast member. Unacceptable to me anyway. Should have found a way the good survives.No. None. A better story has to be made. Or one about vampires in general, or immorals. People that hold the past in their mind. Saved it there and out as much as possible. Left with children instead of their equals.

Even with Winona and Keanu's bad acting, this film is incredible. I like the surreal interpretation of Dracula being something that violates the very laws of time and space (moving shadows, water dripping upside down, distorted ambient voices), and is a cancerous existence stubbornly representing the Old World in the face of a new technological era. Leaning on dreamlike Byzantine/Orthodox aesthetics instead of traditional Gothic was an inspired choice. The soundtrack is a banger as well.
Since most greats are already posted, I'll say Twins of Evil.

>>223433083I'd say that's a tie between Horror of Dracula and Bram Stoker's Dracula, but I'll probably go with the latter because of Wojciech Kilar's killer score, even though I really love James Bernard's one. I still prefer Christopher Lee compared to Gary Oldman, can't forget that first time he appears with his bloody fangs out and his bloodshot eyes. That, and the reinterpretation of Dracula as some sort of rockstar with AIDS themes and the romance with Mina really prevents Coppola's film to be the basically perfect adaptation.

I like the black and white Bela Lugosi one the most. Bela's slick hair evening suit interpretation of Dracula is always what I think of when I think of the character

Fargo has a restored 1920s theater complete with a pipe organ and when Shadow of the Vampire came out they did a double feature of that with the original Nosferatu with a dude playing the pipe organ providing the music like they would have done when Nosferatu original came out. It was an amazing experience
