Scott said his reasons of refusing to reshoot the pilot.<>The unaired pilot was described as much darker than the final show, as there’s more cannibalism and the entire train’s cult-side is stronger compared to that of the Snowpiercer in what became to be in the finalized series. One of the supporting factors is the fact that the engineers are "monk-like in mien". They’re shown in one of the screenshots in the wiki where they’re all watching Melanie Cavill entering the control room.<>The unaired pilot leans more to the movie, with the train colliding with 2 massive ice slides.<>Snowpiercer’s departure in the pilot seems much more secret compared to the TV series, taking place in a forest under secret operation.<>Snowpiercer’s design is much more different than the finalized design in the series, with the Engine featuring a massive snowplow with the control room (the Prow) above having a sweeping rounded windshield. The same could be said for all of its cars and interiors as none of them resemble from the finalized version of the series, including the Aquarium/Sushi Bar.<
