I don't think any of the predators are portrayed in a necessarily good light or sympathetic. The rabbi in particular is portrayed as a genuinely scary monster man that shakes Hansen to his core. It's also not Hansen's fault that people really liked TCAP. He did other stuff on Dateline besides predator stuff like Nigerian scam stings but the audience went crazy for the Predator stuff in particular so that's just what he did. This and Nightcrawler would be a good double feature though.
