>>223439247I've been watching Jacob since 'Room' - this is nowhere near the worst movie he's been in but it's not a career highlight.Shailene Woodley is horribly miscast as an FBI Agent fighting the system and "the man", Alexander Ludwig is as awful as one would expect.Russell Crowe is basically on autopilot.Then we come to Jacob - OMGosh not like **THAT**.He's a talented actor but his performance is very much a "one note" performance and not entirely convincing. He's very softly spoken and believable as a Math genius who can't connect with the world and grows ever more alienated and disenfranchised, but the moments of rage - that allude to the man he becomes - fall flat.They briefly touch on the issues with women that Kaczynski experienced and hint at the gender issues (I don't feel comfortable in my body etc.).All in all it was a disappointing movie.As an aside I'm starting to worry about Jacobs transition into an adult actor. He's played essentially the same kind of character now in two movies - 'Sovereign', and 'Unabomber' and whilst I enjoyed his performance in the former I found it lacking in the latter.'The Night House' - an adaptation of a Jo Nesbø novel has yet to be released despite being filmed June - July 2025. Fingers crossed our boy can star in something decent and display his early potential.
