Throughout the week I've read and listened to the handful of interviews that Zach Cregger and Austin Abrams held over the Resident Evil movie, and in almost every interview, Cregger gleefully recounts the story of Abrams almost getting hit by a 150 pound bag of blood that unexpectedly landed too close to him during the filming of the zombies jumping off a roof, and in another interview he talks about Abrams banging his head during an elevator scene enough to gush blood, which Cregger excitedly takes photos of for blood splatter reference.It got me thinking about actor injuries via accidents on set that didn't become a big deal, i.e. were neither grievous nor enough to make the actor quit, no litigious shit. I want to hear of more stories of this nature if /tv/ knows of any.

>>223441615The LOTR trilogy famously had a bunch of different injuries while filming. Viggo Mortensen alone had three different injuries wjere he broke a toe, cracked a tooth, and almost drowned. Seam Astin and the guy who played Mery both sliced feet open, Orlando Bloom cracked a rib, and John Rhys-Davies smacked orc stuntmen around while playing Gimli. Also, Andy Serkis had to drink a special juice to do his Gollum voice nad it made him nauseous every day. And so,e other things zi'm forgetting.
I once asked another actor to actually hit me with an object because I felt like it wasn't real enough when he was faking it. The more real something is, the less you have to fake it.
