I really liked that at any given time I could go online and find chuds complaining that the show was making fun of them, and redditors complaining that the show was making fun of them. Andor and Rogue One are a window into what Star Wars was like in the really old days before most of you were born, and a window into what it could have been like if Disney had been a bit smarter. Instead it's a one off aberration that probably can't happen again.
How do you get out of this situation?

I thought S1 was pretty good, but the last episode was bad. S2 was worse had too much filler and the Ghorman arc didn't really live up to anything. Also what was the point of the whole fuel stealing arc, they spend all this time teaching someone how to steal it, don't use him and then they just wind up an episode with them stealing some fuel and never use it for anything.There was so much weird stuff in S2, like Debra and security guards relationship and the whole thing with his mom, what was that.

I watched it with my mom and we liked it. It is odd how some arcs just dragged for 3 episodes then hastily sped to completion. But there were some damned fine performances. Not enough aliens, though.

The excessive orange and blue color scheme, especially in costumes was stupefying. Many of the 'poor planet' sets looked like a disney theme park.24 episodes, could have been 8 easily.
Very good apart from the start of season two. That dumb hostage shit with Cassian was completley out of tone. Him stealing that spaceship before that situation was even worse. Felt like some retarded disney exec managed to get their dumb shit into the show.

I think the gimmick of taking all of the worldbuilding and tech lore of Star Wars and portraying it in a gritty / grounded light is really cool. Tie fighters feel threatening, the Empire is ruthless and sophisticated and mildly competent. There's like "special forces" storm troopers that actually seem competent and more than cannon fodder.I think for many people the set designs, costumes, technology, and overall lore are the most interesting part of Star Wars, while the stories themselves and characters can be pretty generic... so it was cool to have a show that really felt like it dug into the tactile world of Star Wars in a much slower and more thoughtful way.Easily the best set design of any sci fi show in the last decade.

Season 1 was kino, the first half of season 2 was meh but it got better in the second half. I enjoyed Rogue One so it was more up my alley than most live action shows Disney released.
the number one thing I loved about this show was the quality of the writing. Star Wars should be high quality like the empire strikes back, anything less is unacceptable.
