how the fuck is that your takeaway, honest to god. you're not supposed to feel bad for the pedo. Dan is just traumatized because he was thrust way in over his head into this dark part of society and is suddenly involved in a man's death when he just wanted to be an actor. anybody would be traumatized from that, regardless of whether they thought the person who killed themselves was a good person or not.

Hansen is not shown to be a bad guy for exposing pedos, or really a bad guy at all. he's just flawed. but that doesn't mean he's on the level of pedos. and the pedos are not portrayed as sympathetic whatsoever. really the only sympathetic characters were the decoys.
