I've talked about this before, but the Sergio Leone spaghetti western trilogy (especially picrel) always seems to attract the dumbest people you'll ever meet.

And I have no idea why, the films themselves are classics (never been too crazy about them, but I know quality when I see it), and yet 99% of the people that I met who were fans of these films were either massive normies who thought they were cineasts because they liked one old film or incredibly obnoxious retarded film dorks.

Great films, but they're a magnet for retards for whatever reason.

Yes, but these are genre films from 60 years ago, so I always expected them to be a little more obscure...

But then again, the image of Clint Eastwood standing there with the hat and poncho is pretty much the symbol of spaghetti western itself, so they're still really iconic films I guess

But these ones I've legitimately very rarely met any smart people who were into them or had any constructive criticism or clever observations about them. Poor Sergio's spinning in his grave.
