Maintaining the clone veterans as a celebrated pillar of the imperial military just makes sense, even if the Empire isn’t making bulk purchases of clones. Also exerting greater control over the cloners is more kino than having to blow up Kamino and is a greater comeuppance for these cynical greedy aliens playing God to be reduced to being enslaved and making abominations for Palps.
