There was the scene at the very end when Voigt was turned into a Cenobite but that was also underwhelming.I did not like that it was turned into a generic slasher with a deux ex machina at the center, while the original film had so much psychosexual drama and intrigue about relationships and deceit. I also do not care for the trope of discovering an old box of manuscripts full of exposition on the plot because it's never executed well.
