Am I supposed to find Starbuck annoying? Her gung-ho attitude, quips during combat, and her attempts to seem tough coupled with that weird smirk seriously rub me the wrong way and come off as really cringy. Is this bad acting/writing or is she purposefully designed to be unlikeable and come off as trying to hard to seem cool? Other than that, I quite liked it. Could do without the red dress chick being so insanely horny 24/7, though.
I haven't watched it in ages, but I didn't find Starbuck annoying. The biggest flaw in BSG was that the writers - by their own admission - didn't have story planned out from the beginning, so when they teased the audience with mystery-boxes and seemingly important premonitions, the writers didn't know how they would eventually answer the questions they had posed. When the final season came around, they had to cobble something together and make the mysteries fit a narrative that had largely been ignoring them, which was like ramming a square peg into a round hole, and the results were far from satisfactory.

Why didn’t just have them arrive on modern day Earth? It was such an obvious thing to do.It implies the links between the human worlds is deeper and older than they expected, sets up opportunities for sequels

Then when they broke it up all 3 shows died slow painful deaths. Just to make room for goddamn wrestling. To this day I get livid just thinking of it.
